Extended Hours
In order to accommodate people who would like to use Waverley Historical Society’s research facilities, but cannot come during our usual Wednesday afternoon time slot (1pm to 4pm), we can now offer evening appointments on set dates. The next dates are on 8th July, 23rd September and 18th November with research from 2.00 until 6.30 .On 14th October 2026 extra research time is 5:30 to 6:30pm. We request that interested people email forward notice of the topic so that their time is not wasted. Come and visit us to browse our collection including old maps, early Waverley Gazettes, photos. The Society has a number of maps, early sub-division plans and aerial photographs of the district. Many of the streets in the Waverley area originate from our early pioneers, while the name “Waverley” and some particular streets relate back to Walter Scott’s Waverley novels.
